Hallo! I'm Ami, an enthusiastic animator,illustrator, and comic artist who specialises in storytelling with character in educational animations. I graduated with distinction from the University of Edinburgh, and have experience across the globe making animated lessons for all ages. Since 2017 I have been freelancing from my home in Berlin. When I am not losing myself off the edges of maps, I am creating colourful stories in After Effects and Photoshop.

Animating for Impact

Educational and explainer videos have been the staple of my animation career, and my favourite projects are those which raise social and environmental awareness. From the impact of gas and oil, to life-threatening illness to addressing women's rights, I work with the client to hone in on their message. Sometimes these topics can get dry - but a carefully thought-out animation can go a long way in sharing information quickly, promoting understanding and inspiring empathy! Let me take your script from visual development through to storyboard and animation.

Sequential Storytelling

When I am not animating, I find comic work the most rewarding medium for storytelling. I started in 2008 with an autobiographical comic which ran twice weekly until 2013, and I had a follow up mini-series when I moved to Germany in 2017. I have also worked with publications to tell local history comics. Currently, I am working on scripting and thumbnailing my own MG graphic novels.
